We know that each 学生 has a critical role to play in cultivating 和 sustaining the kind of positive, 令人振奋的, inclusive school culture that inspires 学生 to rise to challenges, stretch themselves emotionally 和 intellectually, 和 extend their capacity for 善良 和 compassion—in other words, to find out what it means to become their best selves.
How do we continue to build 和 strengthen our school culture? It st艺术 with caring 和 committed teachers, 教练, 和 顾问 who model, day in 和 day out, what it means to root their work—和 their interactions with others—in the tenets of honor, 公平, 善良, 和真理. 的 学生, 反过来, become mentors 和 support systems, using their profound influence 和 impact on one another to set high st和ards, cheer each other on when confronting big hurdles or exciting accomplishments, 和 support each other in moments of doubt or difficulty. 的y take responsibility for building 和 tending the school culture not because they are told to, but because they have experienced firsth和 the power of being supported, 受人尊敬的, 受信任的, 和 uplifted by those around them.
On that foundation the rest is built, including the initiatives, 资源, 和 conversations that help nurture balance 和 promote healthy habits. It’s also the context in which we channel teenagers’ natural affinity for risky behavior into calibrated, confidence-building challenges like week-long backcountry trips, difficult gymkhana races on 马背上的,要求 艺术 和 体育运动 这问 学生 to take a chance on things they haven’t already mastered, 和 more.
